Tianjin Yao Pi Glass Co., Ltd. is located in Dagang, Binhai New Area, Tianjin, and is one of the float glass production bases of Yao Pi Glass Group. The cold repair and technical renovation of Tianjin Yao Pi Line 1 focuses on automotive-grade glass products, providing substrate production support for the deep processing of automotive glass.

The renovation targets Tianjin Yao Pi Float Glass Line 1, with the production line code TSYP1. According to information publicly disclosed by Yao Pi Glass, the cold repair and technical renovation plan was reviewed and approved by the board of directors in 2018, and the production line was shut down for cold repair on June 5, 2019. Implemented on the basis of the existing float glass production line, the project integrates equipment renewal and product upgrading into the same round of renovation.

In 2020, Tianjin Yao Pi Line 1 completed the cold repair and was successfully ignited, entering the trial production phase. Yao Pi Glass stated in its annual report that year that the renovation of Line 1 enriched the product variety of automotive-grade glass and helped increase the production capacity of automotive-grade black glass.
